CULTURE CAPITALS OF CROATIA

PROGRAM:

Day 1: Arrival in hotel. Reception with sparkling wine.

Day 2: Excursion to Trakošćan and Varaždin, once the baroque capital of Croatia.

After breakfast we drive to the city of Varaždin, once the baroque capital city of Croatia.

The city tour will be taken over by a qualified guide, who will show us the historical old town core, the cemetery, the market of the traditional craftsmanship and others.

We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant, after which there is a possibility to visit the city museum, that will be shown to you under expert guidance from an associate of the museum.

The entrance ticket must be paid individually.

Day 3: Zagreb, the Croatian metropolis – Lotršćak tower, Zagreb museum...

Today we start our trip after breakfast to the cultural metropolis and capital of Croatia – Zagreb.

The tour will be started by our city guide where we will visit all of the most important sights of the city.

We will visit the Uptown, the Lotršćak tower, the historical city center, the Cathedral and National Theatre...

After the tour we head to lunch in the city center. After the mouth-watering dishes we can head to one of the numerous museums of the city.

The assorted samples are the Museum of Contemporary art, Archaeological or Ethnographic museum. The entrance fees are to be paid individually.

After the tour we head back to our Hotel, where the rest of the day can be organized at wish.

Day 4: The Museum of the Neanderthals in Krapina (‘’Museum of the Millennium’’).

After breakfast we start our trip to Krapina. We visit the place of discovery of the prehistoric men in Husnjakovo, where the 1.200m2 large museum is also located.

It is one of the most contemporary museums of Croatia and this part of Europe.

You will hear and experience very interesting stories about the life and culture of the Neanderthals, enriched with multimedia samples and other features.

The museum is set up and connected with a pathway to the discovery site of the Neanderthals, located on the Hušnjakov Hill.

Day 5: Homeward journey.
